You are invited to attend the first webinar in a series hosted by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) Office of Operation, entitled “Overcoming the Challenges of Congestion Pricing.” This webinar will be held on March 30, 2011 and will feature two Congestion Pricing Projects in the San Francisco Bay Area:  I-680 Express Lanes and Bay Bridge Time-of-Day Pricing. More information about this webinar can be found in the attached flyer. While this isn’t freight-focused, congestion pricing is a strategy that can help mitigate freight congestion and may be of interest to some members of the Freight LISTSERV.

This webinar is aimed at state and local agencies that are currently or would like to implement congestion pricing, decision-makers/political leaders who want to better understand the benefits of congestion pricing, metropolitan planning organizations (MPOs) that may be responsible for incorporating pricing into their planning activities, and others who just want to learn more about congestion pricing strategies.
