UTK to offer scholarships to National Outreach Scholarship Conference

The Academic Outreach and Engagement Council will sponsor attendance of up to two (2) faculty at the 2011 National Outreach Scholarship Conference, October 2-4, 2011 on the campus of Michigan State University<http://www.msu.edu>, the nation's pioneer land-grant institution.  UTK sponsorships will include conference registration, travel costs, and accommodation costs.  Participants are expected to present a workshop or poster at the conference.  Faculty at all levels are encouraged to submit proposals by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, March 29 via email to [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>

Proposals
Proposals are sought for presentations that will advance discourse about engaged scholarship and evidence-based practice, by communicating research findings, program designs and impacts, lessons learned, and curricular and policy development reflective of diverse contexts, partnerships, populations, and institutions. Presentations may address (but are not limited to) community-based research, urban/rural interactions, international contexts, business and industry, distance-based delivery, underserved populations, cooperative extension, service-learning, continuing education, and university-wide outreach and engagement programs.
