POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT



The Department of Psychology at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, invites applications for a Business Manager in Psychology.



Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; however, a Bachelor's degree is preferred. Experience with a comprehensive accounting software package, such as SAP, is required.  Candidates should have business and finance training; four to six years of accounting or related experience preferably in a higher education environment; demonstrated working knowledge of computer hardware and software; four to six years of experience in office administration, communication (oral and written) expertise; demonstrated problem-solving experience; at least four years of experience with UT policies and procedures preferred; and three to five years of IRIS/SAP experience or equivalent is required in a broad range of applications, both financial and IRIS.


Applicants should submit their resume and three letters of recommendation to the Business Manager Search Committee, c/o Ms. Connie Ogle, Department of Psychology, University of Tennessee, Knoxville, TN 37996-0900. Review of applications will begin January 15, 2011 and continue until the position is filled.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting the Department Head and faculty with financial and operational management of the Department, and managing financial and budgetary aspects of Department.
