The iConference is an international showcase for emerging information-related work and research in such areas as health informatics, user experience design/HCI, information management, information security, virtual collaboration, and e-government. This year's program includes special keynotes from information science visionaries Colin B. Burke and Susan Dumais, and industry panels on "Privacy in the Cloud" and "Big Data." iConference 2011 takes place Feb. 8-11, 2011, at the Renaissance Seattle Hotel. The conference is presented by the 28-member iSchools organization, and is hosted this year by the University of Washington Information School. iConference 2011 marks the iSchools' sixth annual gathering of information researchers and professionals.
