The New York State Historical Association, Fenimore Art Museum & The
Farmers’ Museum

For our distinguished client, The New York State Historical Association,
Fenimore Art Museum and The Farmers’ Museum, we seek a Director of
Development to provide leadership for the ongoing growth and expansion of
the museums’ comprehensive fundraising program.  The position is based in
Cooperstown, NY, a beautiful setting on pristine Lake Otsego and the
historic home of numerous nationally renowned cultural facilities between
the Catskill Mountains and Mohawk Valley.

A member of the senior management team, the Director of Development reports
directly to the President/CEO.  The position is responsible for all of the
program, operating, and capital fundraising needs of these major cultural
and historical institutions. The Director of Development leads the growth
and expansion of a comprehensive fundraising program that consists of major
gifts, planned giving, annual fund including membership and direct mail
appeals, grant writing, corporate and foundation relations and sponsorships,
government funding and special events.  Responsibilities include but are not
limited to the following: lead all fundraising initiatives and programs;
participate in institution-wide strategic planning; develop the annual
appeal and related campaigns; maintain regular and sustained contact with
trustees, association members and community leaders to ensure that the
organizations’ missions and long-range goals are met; coordinate and oversee
the efforts of a 4-person development team; create and manage the
department’s budget; plan, develop and supervise annual and unique special
events for fundraising purposes; collaborate with all departments on
initiatives, projects and goals; other duties as necessary.

The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years development experience in a
museum or similar cultural organization, with a proven track record in all
phases and aspects of fundraising, grant-writing and major gifts.  Capital
campaign experience is preferred; MA required.  Excellent interpersonal,
organizational and communications skills, and a high energy, proactive
people-oriented approach are essential.  Some travel required. Competitive

The University of Southern California (USC) Libraries seek an
experienced, service-oriented Integrated Library Systems (ILS)
Librarian (#274) to oversee daily operation of the ILS.  The incumbent
reports to the ILS Director, participates in the planning and
operations of the department, provides assistance on a wide variety of
ILS-related tasks, and is expected to be intimately familiar with the
MARC format.

Requirements: ALA-accredited MLS typically required; minimum of 5
years of experience in working with MARC records and at least three

Preservation/Records Management

The Faculty of Information, more commonly known as the iSchool, at the

University of Toronto invites applications in the area of archives and
records management at the rank of Assistant, Associate or Full
Professor.  The appointment will commence on July 1, 2011. Rank and
salary will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and

experience.

 We seek candidates with excellent research and teaching track records
and with expertise in the areas of archives and records management.
Areas of focus might include: (i) digital records/object preservation;

(ii) digital/data curation; (iii) digital recordkeeping standards; (iv)
digital preservation strategies, services, and techniques; (v) trusted
digital repository architecture and management. Candidates with
expertise in the preservation of audio-visual records in digital form or

the preservation of digital records generated in specific disciplinary
areas (e.g. e-science, creative and performance arts), are encouraged to
apply.

 The iSchool at the University of Toronto educates the next generation

of professional and academic leaders in Information to transform society

considered for appointment at a rank higher than Assistant Professor.

expected to have experience leading research projects and working with
graduate students.
