The position is an integral part of the Adler’s fundraising team and serves as the chief staff liaison for the Adler Women’s Board. In this capacity, the Women’s Board Manager will work with high-level volunteers (including trustees) and staff to lead two major fundraising events: the annual Celestial Ball gala and the Women in Space Science Celebration, and manage the Women’s Board’s annual appeal. *Duties and Responsibilities: * - Staff and prepare all materials and logistics for Women’s Board regular meetings, executive committee meetings and event committee meetings. - Support the annual Celestial Ball (fall black tie gala) with assistance of event consultant, including committee meetings, sponsorship, auctions and publicity. - Oversee Women in Space Science Celebration, including sponsorship, luncheon logistics, afternoon education and outreach program. - Staff and prepare all materials for the Women’s Board annual appeal. *Education required:* BA degree is required. *Experience required:* Three to five years of development experience working with skilled fundraising volunteers. Expertise in special events management is preferred. Honed written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, leadership and organizational skills are essential in this position.
