   Position: Temporary Reference Librarian

   Position Type: 30 hours a week, 6 month position

    Summary: Fielding Graduate University in Santa Barbara, CA is accepting
   applications for a temporary, part-time reference librarian in its academic
   online “virtual library”, effective immediately. The successful candidate
   will provide reference service via email, telephone, instant messenger,
   Skype, and web conferencing, and assist with other projects and duties as
   assigned.

    The work location will be in Fielding’s Santa Barbara office, though
   telecommuting from a home office in Southern California will be considered.
   The schedule can be flexible if necessary.

    This position may also entail providing instructional services to a
   geographically dispersed community of faculty and mid-career (mostly
   doctoral) students. This could involve creating online tutorials and
   LibGuides and giving library instruction workshops using web-based
   conferencing software.

    Schedule:
   - 30 hours per week for a maximum of six months
   - Some weekday coverage expected, but hours are flexible and can include
   nights and weekends

 Required:

   - MLIS from an ALA-accredited institution, or equivalent.
   - Experience providing digital reference services in an academic,
   research, or large public library.
   - Excellent public service and communication skills within a
   “distributed”/distance education environment.
   - Strong working knowledge of and experience using online library
   databases.
   - Ability and desire to work closely with mid-career adult graduate
   students from a variety of cultural backgrounds, and with varying degrees of
   technical expertise.
   - Ability to work independently, assisting and providing instruction for
   geographically dispersed students and faculty.
   - Comfortable using Microsoft Office programs such as Word and Outlook.

Preferred:

   - Two years professional experience

We are currently seeking a *Sales Manager for Federal Contracts*. This role
will be focused on the Washington D.C. area but will have responsibility for
all U.S. Federal Libraries. Ideally, this role would work out of D.C. but
could work from other locations as well.



The Library Services Consultant is responsible for marketing and sales of
specific OCLC products and services to all US Federal Libraries. The primary
focus of the Library Services Consultant is achieving and surpassing sales
goals established for each fiscal year by Member and/or product. Activities
include field sales to libraries, including onsite presentation and
demonstration of OCLC Services, and collaboration with OCLC Partner staff to
insure appropriate sales efforts are developed and executed. The Library
Services Consultant is responsible for the relationship with the Member from
initial contact through long-term mutual partnership between the Member,
OCLC, and the OCLC Partner. Due to the nature of this position significant
travel is required.

*RESPONSIBILITIES:*



The Library Services Consultant is responsible for field sales and will work
closely with OCLC sales management, library services consultants, product
management staff, order processing staff, and OCLC Partners to:



·       Develop sales plans, regional and within a territory

·       Execute sales and promotional plans through direct field sales
efforts (usually 250-300 accounts within an assigned region)

·       Develop and maintain an active pipeline to support sales goals

·       Close sales – typical sales goals are in the range of $3-5 million
per year for the full array of OCLC services
