Jackson-Madison County Library seeks Full-Time Children’s Librarian. Job responsibilities include conducting weekly story times and additional children’s programs at the Main Library as well as the North Branch, conducting monthly meetings during the school year with the County Head Start programs, conducting the annual Summer Reading Program, collection development for children and young adult, community outreach to schools and organizations, and maintaining library blogs and Facebook pages. The successful candidate will have an MLS or be currently enrolled in an MLS program, have knowledge of children’s and young adult literature, have experience with young children, and have the ability to conduct story time and perform in front of young children and parents.
