> San Jose State University School of Library and Information Science is recruiting an Assistant Professor to work completely online teaching, developing courses, and conducting research in any of the following emerging technology areas: digital archives, digital preservation, data curation, new media, digital futures, virtual services. The person hired into this position will also be expected to collaborate with the School’s grant writer to develop fundable research proposals.

> The School of Library and Information Science (SLIS) at San Jose State University is fully accredited by the American Library Association through 2014. Since Fall 2009 courses are delivered only online. In addition to the online MLIS degree SLIS offers an online masters degree in archives and records administration (MARA) and a gateway Ph.D. program with Queensland University of Technology. The School has a rich technological environment (Desire2Learn Learning Management System, Elluminate Live! and Web 2.0 tools).
