Apply for the Faculty First grant administered by the OITs Innovative Technology Consulting. The primary focus of the Faculty First Program is providing design and development assistance in reshaping a course or course component to enhance the use of technology in the course delivery. You offer the content and serve as a subject matter expert, and consultants will do the development for you, incorporating the appropriate technology into your course. Pending budget approval, two Faculty Fellows will be funded for 2011-2012. The deadline to apply is Monday, February 7, 2011. Clicker Roundtable Wrap Up Representatives from our clicker vendor, Turning Technologies, visited campus on December 1 for an end-of-the-semester feedback session. Turning Technologies Distinguished Educator Will Schleter, UTK Engineering Lecturer, shared his team-teaching strategies with clicker technology. During the open discussion and lunch, novice and advanced users shared their clicker technology experiences as well. The session proved to be an enlightening and engaging learning opportunity for all involved. OIT will offer introductory workshops to assist faculty in preparation for the Spring 2011 semester.
