Hello,

Space is still available to register for the December 15 Talking Freight Seminar. Please visit http://www.ops.fhwa.dot.gov/freight/fpd/talking_freight/index.htm to register.

Date: December 15, 2010

Time: 1:00 – 2:30 pm ET

Topic: Freight and Land Use – Making the Connection

Description: Land use and transportation decisions provide the framework for freight nodes and the transportation links that ultimately shape the functioning of local and regional economies. To have a successful freight system, transportation and land use decision makers must understand the impact of their actions, share critical information and engage with each other and the private sector. Learn how two MPOs are making the freight and land use connection through activities such as stakeholder involvement, site plan reviews, regional freight planning and freight villages studies and hear about FHWA's upcoming handbook on Freight and Land Use.
