This fellowship program, established by the Ezra Jack Keats Foundation, the Janina Domanska Literary Estate, and the de Grummond Children's Literature Collection at the University of Southern Mississippi, awards grants to scholars engaged in projects based substantially on the holdings of the de Grummond Children's Literature Collection. I. PURPOSE : The purpose of this program is to encourage imaginative and productive research in children's literature and specifically to encourage and facilitate scholarly use of the resources of the de Grummond Children's Literature Collection at the McCain Library and Archives, The University of Southern Mississippi. This collection focuses on American and British
children's literature, historical as well as contemporary. Original manuscripts and illustrations of more than 1,200 authors and
illustrators <http://www.lib.usm.edu/%7Edegrum/html/research/re-manuillust.shtml> are a special emphasis of the Collection. In addition, more than 160,000 published volumes <http://www.lib.usm.edu/%7Edegrum/html/research/re-books.shtml> , dating
from 1530 to the present and including more than 250 magazine titles, are contained in the Collection. Among the resources available for use are the original illustrations, manuscripts, typescripts, proofs, dummies, preliminary sketches, photographs, and correspondence of award winning author/illustrators Ezra Jack Keats <http://www.lib.usm.edu/%7Edegrum/html/collectionhl/Keats/ch-keats.shtml and Janina Domanska <http://www.lib.usm.edu/%7Edegrum/html/research/findaids/domanska.htm> .

II. ELIGIBILITY : Grants up to $1350 may be made to applicants of any discipline who engage in projects which require substantial use of the de Grummond Collection. Awards will be based upon the applicant's scholarly qualifications, the merits of the proposal submitted, and the appropriateness of the proposal to the resources of the de Grummond Collection. Preference will be given to projects which have a good likelihood of being published. Fellowship monies can be used for travel, lodging, and meals, and must be expended by May 31, 2011.

III. CONDITIONS : Recipients will be requested to submit a short report of their research at the de Grummond Collection and will be obligated to provide the Collection with a copy of any publication that was made possible by the fellowship. Publications resulting in full or part from this support should include an acknowledgement of the Ezra Jack Keats/Janina Domanska de Grummond Collection Fellowship.

Linebaugh Public Library seeks a full-time Branch Librarian to manage the main library. This is a mid/upper-level management position; this position actively participates on the library management team and oversees library operations in the Director's absence. Duties include, but are not limited to: responsible for daily operation of library branch; assists in selecting, training, and supervising personnel at library branch; supervises maintenance of building and grounds; selects and manages system-wide online databases; prepares and submits various statistical reports to Linebaugh Library Board and Highland Rim Regional Library; assists in developing operating budget; assesses community needs to determine library service responses; coordinates system-wide programs and projects; oversees planning, scheduling, advertising, and delivering programs for adults; conducts community analysis activities; prepares and implements grants; and plans, conducts, teaches, trains and/or attends various departmental meetings.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree, Master of Library and Information Science (or equivalent) degree, and at least five years of progressively responsible library management experience required; or, any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position.

Salary: $34,217 per year (negotiable based on experience), plus benefits.

The Emporia State University Libraries and Archives invite applications for the position of Electronic Resources and Serials Librarian. This is a 12 month tenure track position with the rank of assistant professor.

Position: Electronic Resources and Serials Librarian

Duties: Reporting to the Head of Systems and Technical Services, the Electronic Resources and Serials Librarian is responsible for managing electronic resources, as well as print serials and other continuing resources. Registers, monitors, and troubleshoots subscription related access to print and electronic resources with publishers and vendors, including Serials Solutions and EBSCO. Catalogs continuing resources, including print and electronic. Sets up electronic resources in Innovative Interfaces link resolver. Communicates with vendors/publishers to expedite and sustain access to electronic resources. Manages life cycle processes for electronic resources including tracking vendor, publisher, license and registration information, consortia memberships and packages, renewals, and plans for discontinuation of resources or significant interface changes. Resolves complex problems related to access and claims for serials in all formats. Develops and manages workflows to assure timely processing and continuous access to serials in all formats. Manages the Government Document profile. Supervises and trains student assistants. Serves as an academic departmental liaison on the Collection Development team. Reference and instruction duties may also be assigned. This is a tenure track position governed by the university’s policies requiring research, creative achievement and professional services.

Qualifications:
Required: MLS from ALA accredited library school; effective communication, interpersonal, organizational, analytical, and
problem-solving skills; evidence of skill in coordinating projects and attention to detail; familiarity with Open URL, link resolvers, serials systems and OCLC.

Desired: Demonstrated competencies in managing or troubleshooting electronic resources; one or more years of recent supervisory
experience; familiarity with MARC and MARC Holdings standards; the ability to work collaboratively as well as independently; demonstrated ability to be flexible with working assignments; and evidence of research or creative achievement.

*Editorial Advisors *

*Evidence Based Library and Information Practice (EBLIP)* is looking to add
approximately ten *Editorial Advisors (peer reviewers) *to our team. We are
especially interested in expressions of interest from those working in
public, special, school, or non-library settings, and from those with
demonstrated knowledge of research methods.* * Specific responsibilities of
editorial advisors include:

- Providing in-depth peer review of original research articles, evidence
summaries and classic evidence summaries. The total number of peer review
requests will vary depending upon content submitted to the journal, but you
would likely be asked to review 2-4 submissions per year.
- Contributing to the overall success of the journal by providing
unbiased, fair, and timely reviews of submissions that are assigned.
- Serving a two year term.
- Communicating with the Editorial Board about areas where the journal
could improve.
- Promoting *EBLIP* as an avenue of publication to colleagues



Interested persons should send a statement of interest, indicating areas of
strength they would bring to the role, as well as a brief resume to Denise
