--- Tomorrow is the final day of classes for the fall semester. Wednesday will be a study day. Classes will not meet but administrative offices will remain open. For the full academic calendar, visit the Office of the Registrar's website, http://registrar.utk.edu/academic_calendar/. Hodges Library will be open 24 hours during study days and final exams. The entire building will be open continuously from noon, Sunday, Nov. 28, until midnight, Thursday, Dec. 9. Students with valid commuter parking permits may park overnight at the Lake Avenue Garage (Levels 1 and 2) from Sunday, Nov. 28, through Wednesday, Dec. 8, and ride the T-Link to and from Hodges Library.

Good News

--- The Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships raised over $1,300 for the Angel Tree Charity through three fundraising events held between October and November 2010. All proceeds from these events are being donated to Angel Tree. For more info call 974-3131.

Mark Your Calendar

--- Clarinet class recital, 8 p.m. tonight in the Alumni Memorial Building Performance Hall 32. The recital was originally scheduled for 6 p.m. Free and open to the public. For more information call 974-5678.

--- Students are invited to the Baker Center tomorrow to view the webcast of the "National Summit on Advancing Health through Nursing" sponsored by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. The webcast event will begin at 9:30 a.m. and will run until 2:45 p.m. The program will feature Donna Shalala, Linda Burnes Bolton, Harvey Fineberg and Risa Lavizzo-Mourey, all key leaders from the Institute of Medicine and Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. Then, from 2:45 to 4 p.m., those gathered locally will discuss what was said during the webcast. That discussion will be led by Carole Myers, UT Baker Fellow and associate professor in the UT College of Nursing. If you plan to attend, RSVP to [log in to unmask] by the end of the day today. --- Need a break from studying during finals? Then stop by Career Services in Dunford Hall for a "Study Break," 4 - 6 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 1, hosted by Phi Eta Sigma Honor Society and open to all students. Light refreshments will be provided, along with some free study supplies.

--- The UT Knoxville Food Science Club is holding their annual holiday cheese sale fundraising event, Thursday and Friday afternoons through the end of December, at the intersection of Joe Johnson Drive and River Drive on the agriculture campus. --- The UT Council of Interior Design Students will host iDesign, an Interior Design Student exhibit and reception, 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 2, in the Art and Architecture Building Atrium. Free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.

--- If you are interested in becoming a part of sorority life at UT, learn more at the Spring Recruitment event, 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 1 at the Panhellenic Building, at the corner of 16th Street and Cumberland Ave. There will also be interest meetings at 4 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 20, in Humes Hall West Multipurpose Room and 5:30 p.m. Jan. 20 in the Laurel Hall Multipurpose Room.
