Blackboard Contract Renewal The current UTK/Blackboard contract for Course Management Systems is set to expire on April 30, 2011. In keeping with current fiscal policies, a formal Request for Proposal (RFP) process has been initiated, and the competitive procurement process is in full swing. As part of the process, University Purchasing has arranged for three competing vendors to visit campus to provide product demonstrations on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday of next week. All three vendors have provided formal proposals for consideration in the procurement process. All interested faculty, staff, and students are welcome to attend any of the open sessions. Vendor Product Demonstrations All demonstrations will be held in the Practice Presentation Room in the Commons of Hodges Library.

Faculty Fellow Program Seeking Applicants The OIT Faculty Fellow Program contributes to the Innovative Technology Consulting focus of advancing exemplary teaching and enriching the experience of students. You can help us provide UT's learning communities with the support and resources to attain educational excellence through the appropriate use of technology. Pending budget approval, two Faculty Fellows will be funded for 2011-2012. The deadline to apply is Monday, February 7, 2011. Faculty Fellows will be announced by February 21, 2011. Attend the Clicker Technology Roundtable Veteran and novice clicker instructors, as well as those who are "ready to get started," are invited to come and express your comments, concerns, or curiosity at an end-of-semester roundtable discussion.
