The School of Information Studies at McGill University, Montreal, has an immediate opening for a postdoctoral position in the area of information visualization and virtual environments. Working under the supervision of Dr. Andrew Large and Dr. Jamshid Beheshti, the post-doctoral student will design and develop visual taxonomies and virtual environments for children and young adults to assist them in the information-seeking process for classroom projects. The position requires experience and training in visualization, desktop VR, and augmented reality. A thorough knowledge of one or more languages such as Java, Flash, and C# is essential. Some experience with TrueVision 3D will be an asset. The position is available for one year with an annual salary of $31,500.
