Please note this information from
Marcy Fisher relative to the upcoming annual Southern Region HR and Business
Officers’ Conference which is less than a month away. The initial
deadline of October 8 to reserve your sleeping room has been extended until Friday,
October 22, 2010. Please make sure that you get your reservations in by
that day to take advantage of the group rate. Also, be reminded that the
deadline to register for the conference is Friday, October 22, 2010.
In regards to the Cooking School optional
event that was scheduled for Wednesday, November 3, we did not have the minimum
number of registrants required to make the reservation. For those of you
who registered for this event and were using a credit card to pay, your card
will not be charged for the event. If you sent a check as payment, your
check will be returned to you upon your check-in at the meeting registration
table.
In regards to the Hurricane
Katrina tour that is scheduled for Friday, November 5, 2010, we are still
accepting registrants for this event. We are estimating that the cost
will be between $20.00 and $25.00 per person and will last about 1.5
hour. You will have until the October 22, 2010 registration deadline to
register for the Katrina tour.
