GIS / Data Services Analyst

The Florida Natural Areas Inventory is seeking a full-time
employee to conduct conservation-related spatial data analysis, and prepare reports
and data products requested by government agencies, private consultants, and
the public. Specific job duties include:
A bachelor’s degree in an environment-related field,
such as biology, geography, environmental planning, or environmental science,
is required. Basic GIS experience, including ESRI ArcGIS, is required,
along with general experience with a variety of software in a Windows
format. Attention to detail and concern for accuracy are important. One
or more years professional experience in GIS is preferred. Skills
with relational databases, web design/programming, cartography, and/or graphic
design are also helpful.
This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with
scientists, planners, and other environmental professionals, and gain
experience with wildlife conservation, natural resource management, and land
use planning issues.
