Greetings All –
Ron Foresta and I are going to Cumberland Gap National
Historic Park on Friday evening, October 22 to camp out. On Saturday, we
will hike to the historic Hensley Settlement. All are welcome to camp and
hike.
We will meet hikers at 9:30am on Saturday at the picnic area
just before you get to the Wilderness Road campground. Eat dust will be
9:45. Bring lunch, water and appropriate footwear.
Please email me if you plan to join us. [log in to unmask] If there are more
than one coming from Knoxville, I’ll try to hook you up for a potential
car pool from town.
Here’s a description of the hike:

Directions to the picnic area from Harrogate, TN are to take
Hwy. 25E to Hwy. 58 East. From the junction, go about 2.0 miles and you
will see the sign for the Wilderness Road Campground. Turn left off of
Hwy. 58. The picnic area is on the left before you enter the
