Develop and
maintain library website;
·
Provide
leadership in development and delivery of eReference services;
·
Administer and
promote library databases, eJournal collections and other online assets;
·
Provide reference
assistance and bibliographic instruction in coordination with other librarians;
·
Develop and
coordinate library’s social network presence.
·
Masters degree in
Library or Information Science from an ALA-accredited institution;
·
Demonstrated
ability to create and maintain web pages compliant with current web development
standards and protocols;
·
Ability to
provide reference assistance in multiple modes (in person, phone, online);
·
Ability to
develop and deliver bibliographic instruction;
·
Demonstrated
ability to administer library databases, eJournals and other online information
assets;
·
Initiative,
flexibility, and ability to adapt and work creatively in a rapidly changing
environment;

Ability to
communicate effective, both orally and in writing;

Understanding of
an enthusiasm for use of social networking to promote and deliver library services;

Ability to work
extended hours at least one night a week and occasional Saturdays in rotation
with other library staff;

within RSCC service area to provide bibliographic instruction and workshops.
