Just a reminder that registration closes end-of-day
tomorrow for the next offering of The Reference Interview, a 5 week online
course presented by the Reference and User Services Association (RUSA).
This class is an excellent opportunity for librarians and
library staff at all types of libraries to gain or refresh basic reference
skills, and will enable them to serve reference desk patrons with confidence!
The majority of this course is asynchronous—students login
throughout the week and complete assignments at their own pace. Practice chat
sessions are held as a part of the course, however these are scheduled after
the class begins in order to accommodate the largest number of students.
The course will run Monday, Sept. 13 through Friday, Oct.
22.
