On Wednesday, Sept 15 from noon to 5:30 pm and Thursday, Sept 16 from
noon to 5 pm, the Modern Foreign Languages & Literatures department

What's the right mix of face-to-face and online?
How can you best map the mix of blended elements to student needs and
requirements?
How can these elements be orchestrated to meet a course's learning

Registration is not required; however, seating is limited,
so arrive early to ensure you get a good seat.

Faculty Fellows Begin Year-Long Projects
As the fall semester begins, so does our work with Drs. Blanche
O'Bannon and Jenn Fishman. Each will take on special instructional
technology projects this academic year. Dr. Fishman is continuing her
focus on incorporating technology into writing instruction with an
emphasis on digital video pedagogy and the sociability of writing at
UT. Dr. O'Bannon is developing online modules for her courses on
integration of technology into K-12 environments and planning research
on use of the modules.

The Instructional Technology Community of Practice, started earlier
this year as part of the Faculty Fellows program, will continue this
fall. Be on the lookout for the Brown Bag Lunch schedule soon.

For more information or to be added to the IT CoP mailing list,
contact Gina Phipps at [log in to unmask] or 974-7912.
