Conference Theme - GIS to the RESCUE!
You are invited to participate in the 2010 TNGIC East Tennessee Regional GIS Conference map gallery on October 8th. The conference will be held in Knoxville on University of Tennessee campus in the Carolyn Brown Memorial University Center. The conference is free and open to anyone working with or interested in GIS.
The map gallery is a great way to gain insight from GIS professionals on cartographic design, data integration, and map display. Winners will be selected from BEST CARTOGRAPHIC DESIGN, BEST DATA INTEGRATION, MOST UNIQUE, VIEWERS CHOICE, AND BEST STUDENT PRESENTATION.
Please see attached document for application and rules regarding submissions.
If you are unable to attend the conference, you can still enter the map gallery. However, all maps must be printed and mounted for display per gallery requirements. Please contact Chris Halcomb in Knoxville or Katharine Bennett in Johnson City to arrange map delivery logistics.
