QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
Required Qualifications:
- ALA accredited Master’s degree in Library or Information

user-focused librarian for a 3-year term non-tenure track position in
the Cataloging/Metadata Unit to connect users with collections in a

Responsibilities: The Catalog/Metadata Librarian is responsible for
original and complex copy cataloging in all formats according to current
standards for bibliographic description and intellectual access to
library materials, including authority control. In conjunction with the
Catalog Librarian this position has responsibility for the support and
training of paraprofessional catalogers. Working with the Head of the
Cataloging/Metadata Unit and the Digital Collections Librarian this
position will establish descriptive metadata policies, provide guidance
in implementing new workflows and provide leadership in developing and
implementing new procedures and training programs for descriptive
metadata for digital materials created or maintained by the Library.
This position will be instrumental in developing a strong
cataloging/metadata unit in support of the UNH institutional repository.
Minimum qualifications: ALA accredited masters degree in Library and
Information Science; at least 5 years of cataloging experience; advanced
knowledge of and experience with cataloging standards AACR2, MARC, and
LCSH and authority control at the original cataloging level in all
formats; supervisory experience. Working knowledge of the Dublin Core
metadata standard is required.
Desired qualifications: Supervisory experience, demonstrated ability to
formulate, implement and assess training plans for staff catalogers and
student employees, familiarity with one or more European or Asian
language. Working knowledge of the EAD, METS, and/or MODS metadata
schema is desired. Demonstrated ability to work with faculty, staff,

Director, Philip Johnson's Glass House
Responsible for all aspects of operations, finances,
preservation, programming, promotion, and fundraising for Philip Johnson's
Glass House as a National Trust Historic Site. The Director supervises
all site staff, is the liaison with various community organizations (including
the City of New Canaan and the New Canaan Historical Society), and reports to
the Vice President of Historic Sites of the National Trust. The Director
will be responsible for managing the site in a manner consistent with the
mission and goal of the National Trust, and for the creation of a strategic
plan and development of a fundraising Advisory Council to support the

Duties
- Perform all duties with
the aim of helping to achieve National Trust strategic goals, including

constituents, as well as building partnerships and increasing financial

operations and capital projects. Provide proper fiscal management,
