The
University of Kentucky School of Library and Information Science is pleased to
welcome Wade Bishop and Jeff Naidoo as new faculty members beginning 2010-2011.
Wade Bishop joined the UK SLIS faculty August 2010 as an Assistant Professor.
He earned a Ph.D. in Information Studies from Florida State University,
an M.A. in Library and Information Science from the University of South
Florida, and a B.S. in Marketing with a minor in English from the University of
Florida. Wade brings practical experience in public education, archives,
and academic libraries. His research interests include the application of
geographic information systems in a variety of settings.
Jeff Naidoo will join the UK SLIS faculty January 2011 as an Assistant
Professor. He is completing a Ph.D. in Communication and Information
Science at the University of Alabama. Jeff earned an M.B.A from TUI
University (summa cum laude) and a B.S. in Business and Information Technology
from the University of South Africa. He has experience in international
technology development and deployment. His research interests are focused
in the area of knowledge management.
