Deadline approaches for OCLC/ALISE LIS faculty research grant proposals

OCLC Online Computer Library Center, Inc. and OCLC Research, in
collaboration with the Association for Library and Information Science
Education (ALISE), invite research proposals for the 2011 Library and
Information Science Research Grant Program (LISRGP). Awards of up to
$15,000 are available to full-time academic faculty in schools of
library and information science or related fields.

Proposals, which are to be submitted electronically, are due by midnight
Wednesday, 15 September 2010.

OCLC and ALISE encourage international proposals and collaborative
projects under this program. To aid new researchers, priority will be
given when possible to proposals from junior faculty and applicants who
have not previously received LISRGP funds.

Award recipients will be notified by the end of 2010 and will be honored
at the 2011 ALISE Annual Conference, 4-7 January 2011, in San Diego,
California.
