Rosemary - Our employees sign up for part A when they were eligible (age 65). Part B is always their choice. Some of our retirees on federal health elect Part B; others do not. We have people working in Extension on Post-retirement appointments. They've retired with federal benefits and are receiving an annuity. Their status with us is as a part-time temporary employee. I thought that when they reached 65 they should sign up for Medicare Part A and Part B but a woman at Medicare told one employee that as long as he was working he only needed to sign up for Part A until he quit working all together. Can anyone shed any light on this?
