On Saturday, Sept. 4, the UT Knoxville Volunteers will take
on the UT Martin Skyhawks in the football season opener. Interim President Jan
Simek, as well as the Knoxville and Martin alumni offices, will host a barbecue
in Circle Park from 3-5 p.m. featuring great food, door prizes, a special
appearance by UT basketball coaches Pat Summitt and Bruce Pearl and front row
seats to Coach Derek Dooley’s first Vol Walk with the team. The cost is
minimal and is a great way to spend a game day afternoon.
