POSITION VACANCY
INSTRUCTIONAL SERVICES LIBRARIAN: This position is responsible for coordinating the information literacy instruction program, developing / implementing instruction and presentation training programs, providing formal/ information instruction and marketing programs and services to the ODU community.  This position is also responsible for providing reference/  research assistance, selecting and evaluating library collections in assigned subject areas, implementing library outreach services, participating in library planning / development, and contributing to the library profession.
QUALIFICATIONS: Required: ALA-accredited MLS; demonstrated knowledge and practice of pedagogy in teaching/ learning; knowledge of educational and instructional technology software and multimedia development on various platforms and their applications in teaching; knowledge of reference print / Internet resources; effective communication skills (verbal, written, and interpersonal); effective work skills, including time management, problem solving skills, and ability to work collaboratively; significant teaching experience, including in an academic library setting; experience providing reference services in an academic library setting; demonstrated experience in developing training, workshops and classes; evidence of successful outreach to faculty and academic programs. Preferred: Experience in collection development; experience with program assessment / evaluation; successful recent experience leading projects in a collaborative environment.
SALARY AND BENEFITS: Salary range is $53-58,000.  Excellent benefits package.
