Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL), a nationally and
internationally recognized research and development lab based in
Washington State. In this role you will have the opportunity to build
and strengthen the reputation of a one-billion dollar institution that
is making a difference in advancing science and helping solve some of
the world's toughest challenges in energy, environment and national
security.

    The library is partnering with its newly formed Library Advisory
Committee to design the strategy for the Lab's "library of the
future". The person in this position will help lead this effort and
the follow-on implementation.

   The position provides leadership for the library's Information
Services & Research Assistance team, as well as other assignments
related to information research and management services. This position
requires superior customer service support to internal staff as well
as external customers; excellent professional communication skills to
deliver solutions in accordance with best practices in information
research and analysis; strong skills in relationship and change
management and conflict resolution.

   Level 3 Information Specialists requires 5 years of directly
related experience in a comparable operating environment, or Master's
degree and 3 years direct experience. A Master's degree in Library &
Information Sciences is preferred.  Degree and experience equivalence
and relevancy will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Librarian for Business and Economics.  This position is a full-time,

Walter P. Reuther Library, Archives of Labor And Urban Affairs

Reports to the Library Director as primary administrator for the
University Archives. The position requires vision and leadership in
capturing and disseminating university history in the digital age
through traditional and innovative collecting strategies; creating and
implementing viable records management systems; and increasing
accessibility to collection information and content using electronic
research tools. The candidate will work directly with individual
departments to acquire official university records as well as
materials from non-official sources. Working independently, as well as
collaboratively with other archivists, the University Archivist will
possess a willingness to further the strategic goals of the library.

ALA-accredited Master’s degree in Library Information Science (MLIS),
Master’s degree in History (MA), or an advanced degree in a relevant
disciplinary field; a minimum of 2-3 years professional experience in
an archive or special collections repository; and strong records
management experience, including the management of digital records,
required.

The Collection Management Librarian works cooperatively with library faculty
and staff to adopt new digital and bibliographic technologies, manage the
integrated library system (ILS), provide direct supervision of cataloging,
acquisitions and serials operations, and provide statistical and budgetary
reports as needed.

This is a full-time 12 month non-tenured faculty rank position.

Required:

ALA-accredited Masters Degree in library science/information science.

3-5 years experience in a library technical services environment, preferably
in cataloging, acquisitions or serials; original and copy cataloging
experience; 1-3 years experience with integrated library systems; project
management experience.

Preferred: Supervisory experience; experience using OCLC Connexion;
experience using UNIX/LINUX/XML or a similar programming language to
implement system changes at the database server level; experience with
producing reports using MS Access or a similar reporting application;
experience using an Electronic Resource Management System, such as Serials
Solutions, TDNet, etc.
