Reference Research Review 2009

Each year, the Research & Statistics Committee of the Reference Services Section (RSS) in RUSA scours the professional literature to identify notable research articles about reference work published in the previous year.

The 2009 Reference Research Review is now available on the committee’s website (http://bit.ly/RRR2009) and features 29 articles that cover topics such as the role of academic libraries in mentored undergraduate research, the demonstration of best practices in reference transactions, and the evaluation of effective training for chat reference.

Previous reviews can be found on the committee’s website at:

The committee uses the definition of Reference Work and Reference Transactions as approved by RUSA to define the scope of the review. For more information, see: http://bit.ly/rusa-reference.
