Contract Editor/Entry Level (Cumming, GA) Job # GA716
 
ProEdit has an immediate need for an Entry Level Editor to work in our
office in Cumming, GA (ZIP code: 30040). The editor will work closely with
our lead editors and will have the opportunity to review a variety of
documents, including software user manuals, policies and procedures, website
content, marketing collateral, white papers, and training materials.
 
This is an excellent opportunity for a recent college graduate. The entry
level editor will work on a variety of projects in a fast-paced editorial
environment and gain valuable industry experience.
 
Minimum Requirements:
 
- Proficiency with MS Word
- Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication, English, Journalism, or a
related field 
- Willingness to complete an editing assessment
 
Relevant Skills:
 
- Excellent spelling and grammar skills
- Can quickly learn and use new software programs
- Can complete tasks with little supervision and has the ability to take
initiative and be resourceful
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with AP Style and Chicago Manual of Style
 
Note: This is an entry level editor position. The contract hourly rate is
commensurate with 1-2 years of experience.
