This free service helps Tennessee businesses find users for surplus and off-spec. materials, and industrial by-products. Materials that your company wants to get rid of may be items that another company can use. The Tennessee Materials Exchange is sponsored by the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation <http://e2ma.net/go/8413458306/2918300/96098630/2299/goto:http:/www.stat e.tn.us/environment/> Division of Solid and Hazardous Waste Management <http://e2ma.net/go/8413458306/2918300/96098631/2299/goto:http:/www.stat e.tn.us/environment/swm/> . ________________________________ Dr. Richard Buggeln Retires After serving for 15 years as the Manager of the Tennessee Materials Exchange, Dr. Buggeln is retiring at the end of June. He has managed the program since inception, beginning with a concept, taking it to a paper-based system and finally to its current electronic format. The TME website has also gone through many upgrades during his tenure. Replacing Richard will be John Erdmann. You may recognize his name since the TME newsletter is sent from him. He is technically competent to replace Richard but nowhere near the character. Richard will be missed and he is definitely looking forward to his retirement. You can reach John via email at [log in to unmask] <mailto:[log in to unmask]> or phone at 615-532-4908. If you have other solid waste issues, please contact Albert Tieche at albert.tieche@tennessee .edu <mailto:[log in to unmask]> or 615-532-4926. ________________________________ Since the previous TME Bulletin, these NEW ITEMS have been added: ***** MATERIALS AVAILABLE ***** Alkalis 6:A2/10012 Sodium hydroxide solution (70%) -- 3,000 gals, then continuous ________________________________ Miscellaneous 3:A11/10014 Copper sulfate pentahydrate - unused product -- 700 lbs, one time ________________________________ Oils and Waxes 3:A3/10010 Motor oil, transmission fluid, and diesel fuel mixed -- 250 gals, then 300 gals/quarter ________________________________ Other Inorganic Chemicals 6:A6/10015 Iodine Solution (1 N) -- 30 x 500 ml, one time 6:A6/10016 Sodium thiosulfate solution (0.25 N) -- 20 liters, one time ________________________________ Solvents 0:A4/10011 Envirosolv 655 (non-chlorinated Stoddard solvent) used but not spent -- 55 gals, then 55 gals/yr ________________________________ Textiles and Leather 3:A8/10013 Carpet waste - ground and baled with some plastic mixed in -- 1,000 lb/bale; 40,000 lbs, then continuous ________________________________ Wood and Paper 0:A9/10017 Gaylord boxes and super sacks (used) -- continuous Don't find what you need here?
