Representatives from TriStar Technology Ventures (www.tstventures.com)
will be on campus Friday, July 30th, to give an overview of
the TNInvestco program (www.state.tn.us/ecd/tninvestco/) recently
implemented by the state legislature. Researchers who have ideas or
technologies that may have commercialization potential are welcome to join us
for a brown bag lunch at the UTRF Technology Business Center (business
incubator) from 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.. At this talk, researchers
can learn more about this innovative program and how it can be a vehicle for
moving technologies to the marketplace by creating start-up companies as well
as how it can open the door to additional research funding (e.g., through SBIR
partnering).
