Dig, Grow and Learn! <#events>
The UT Gardens is growing something new! Beginning in May, the Gardens' staff will offer monthly classes and workshops for children, families and adults. Adults can learn about various topics such as gardening, floral design and garden art. Family workshops are a great way to learn and explore the garden with the entire family. Throughout the year, families can learn about topics such as flowers, container gardening and wreath making. These classes and workshops are fee-based and require advance registration. Garden Sprouts and Garden Buds
Kids and gardening naturally go together, so the UT Gardens will offer many programs and tours specifically designed to teach children about the wonders of the natural world. Garden Sprouts is a program designed for children ages 3 to 5 and an accompanying adult. Garden Buds, designed for children ages 6 to 9, dig into the garden one Saturday a month and explore topics such as trees, bugs and even slugs! These classes and workshops are fee-based and require advance registration. The UT Gardens is excited to present our first-ever, fun-filled summer of day camps for children ages 4 to 12! Each camp will explore a different garden topic and include fun activities and take-home projects. Come explore, and have fun at the Gardens this summer!
Our Lil' Gardeners and Grands and Me! sessions are currently full, but we hope you will attend our other Gardens events this summer!

Winged Wonders

Flutter on over and discover who is flying through the sky! Butterflies, dragonflies and other winged creatures will come to life as we explore their life cycles and purpose in the garden. Crawl out of your chrysalis - it is sure to be one soaring adventure!

Grab your paintbrush and get ready to dip in as we learn how famous artists gained inspiration from nature. Campers will learn painting techniques and use plant materials to create their very own art projects to take home.
Nature Scene Investigations

Wednesday, July 21, 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (ages 9 to 12)
Snatch your detective hat and join us as we follow various clues leading us through a garden adventure! The names of flowers often give clues to their personalities. As garden sleuths, we will be solving the mystery of "Who grew that plant?" Grab your four-leaf clovers; we will need all of the luck we can get!
Veggie Ventures

Wednesday, August 11, 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (ages 9 to 12)
From carrots to peppers, this adventure digs into the wide world of vegetables. Campers will plant their own kitchen garden from recycled kitchen scraps.
