This call for juried paper proposals seeks original
contributions including reports of research, theory, pedagogy, best practices,
think pieces, and critical essays that contribute to elaboration of the
conference theme of competitiveness and innovation in library and information
science. More information on the conference theme can be found at: http://www.alise.org/
Submission to this call for paper proposals must not have
been previously published. There are no restrictions on research methodology.
Alternative perspectives, creative and no-conventional responses to library and
information science education concerns within the context of competitiveness
and innovation are welcome and expected! We look forward to your proposals and
participation with great anticipation!
Conference juried paper proposals accepted for
presentation at the conference, which are developed into full papers, are
eligible for consideration for the JELIS “best papers” conference
issue. Deadline for submission of full papers for possible publication in JELIS
will be March 1, 2011.
Instructions for submitting Extended Abstracts for
presentation at the ALISE 2011 Conference:
Extended abstracts should include the following:
• Title of the paper
• Names, affiliations, and contact information
of the authors and one author to be designated as the contact for the paper
• Up to 1,000 word description of the proposed
paper.
The Conference Juried Paper Proposals Committee Chair
will send an acknowledgement of all abstracts received and applicants will be
informed of the Committee’s decisions by September 15, 2010. Conference
presentation time slots will be published in the conference program. All
presenters are required to register for the ALISE 2011 conference.
