Greetings,
One of 75 hand-made broadsides that the University of
Alabama Book Arts and Library & Information Studies students and faculty
created for Haitian Library Relief will be on display at the University
of Alabama’s table at the “Cooperative Library and Information
Studies Alumni Reunion” on Sunday, June 27th, from 5:30 until
7:30 p.m. at ALA’s Annual Conference. The cooperative reunion is
scheduled in the Ballroom of the Renaissance Mayflower Hotel in Washington, DC.
We hope friends of UA-SLIS will gather to visit and to
see this unique piece that was created by many hands from the fields of Book
Arts, Library & Information Studies, Art, and Poetry.
Collaboration does yield beautiful art.
