Hello,
Space is still available to register for the May 19 Talking
Freight seminar. Please visit http://www.ops.fhwa.dot.gov/freight/fpd/talking_freight/index.htm to register.
Date: May 19, 2010
Time: 1:00 – 2:30
pm ET
Topic: Data for State and
Local Freight Planning
Description: State and local
transportation planning typically requires data at a resolution higher than
most national data sources offer. In many cases national data must be
supplemented by local data and models to plan state and local projects. This
session will review what national sources such as FAF can offer; provide
examples of successful state and local data collection and modeling efforts;
and describe other work previously done and currently underway (e.g., NCFRP-20
to produce a guidebook that identifies resources and procedures for developing
local and corridor level commodity flow databases).
Presenters:
·
Dike Ahanotu,
·
Michael Anderson,
·
Joel Falter, KOA Corporation
