Seminar Overview

Knowledge management, with the collection of lessons learned and the development of a knowledge repository, are best practices for all project professionals. However, in the rush to complete projects on time or early, often knowledge management is an after- thought in today's challenging environment. This seminar describes how best to incorporate knowledge management into the daily lives of project professionals, using the Project Management Office (PMO) as the catalyst for this process. The first day focuses on the importance of knowledge management (KM) to project management (PM) and presents a methodology to incorporate knowledge management into project management. Day two covers the importance of communities of practice, maturity assessments, and presents guidelines you can use to enhance knowledge management as part of your overall project management practice.
