To
best serve our students, faculty, and staff at Valparaiso University,
Library Services seeks three innovative and dedicated librarians to
join our newly-created Public Services team. Reporting to the Director
of Public Services, this four person team collaborates to support the
day-to-day public services activities of the library, teach in the
curriculum-based information literacy program, and create programming
for outreach activities.
Each position includes a subject liaison emphasis for collection
development and information literacy activities. One position will be
responsible for the health sciences (nursing, human biology); other
positions will cover areas such as fine arts, government information,
or social sciences.
Candidates should possess an ALA-accredited Master’s Degree; a
commitment to student success, excellent customer service, and
thoughtful teaching; and the potential to attain tenure and promotion
through job performance, service, and research. Early career librarians
are encouraged to apply.
