Dr. Micheline van Riemsdijk,

We have an exciting event this Wednesday at the Knoxville Museum of Art.

Laura Liu, an assistant professor in Urban Studies at the New School
NYC - who describes her research as "urban, political, and feminist
geography; gender and ethnic studies; community and class organizing;
migration and work; and race and space" - will be presenting a free
lecture at Noon in the KMA Kramer Education Center.

We would love for everyone at UT to know this event is happening!

Would you be able to forward this message to interested faculty and students?

Thanks for your help!
Chris Molinski

the global crisis of production and skill based textile labor.

Laura Liu is an assistant professor in Urban Studies at The New School
NYC interested in “encouraging thoughtful engagement with ideas and
practices of social transformation at various scales, in particular,
its spatiality, contextual contingency, contradictions, and enduring
possibility.”

Her research explores topics such as: urban, political, and feminist
geography; gender and ethnic studies; community and class organizing;
migration and work; and race and space.

This event is free and open to the public.
