King College has openings for two librarian positions.  Applications are currently 
being accepted for each position and both will start August 2010.

Electronic Resources Librarian
King College
Bristol, TN

King College, a private, comprehensive college founded in the Presbyterian 
tradition, is inviting applications for an Electronic Resources Librarian, a full-
time faculty position at the rank of Instructor or Assistant Professor.  Duties 
include assuming primary responsibility for the management of the library’s 
electronic resources and library website; teaching information literacy sessions 
and participating in reference desk rotation; and serving as liaison to assigned 
academic departments for collection development. 

Qualifications: ALA-accredited master's degree in library and/or information 
science is required and three years of professional experience and subject 
background in social sciences  or humanities preferred.  The successful 
candidate will have knowledge of a wide range of print and electronic 
information resources, demonstrated teaching experience, familiarity with 
current practices, theory, and issues related to electronic resource 
management ; experience in creating and maintaining websites using a content 
management system; ability to work efficiently and effectively in a team-based 
environment as well as the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a busy, time-
sensitive environment.  Salary commensurate with education and experience.

students, faculty, staff; managing public service operations of the library; 
coordinating library instructional services; teaching information literacy 
sessions; and serving as liaison to assigned academic departments for 
collection development.
