Julia Mickenberg is the author of Learning from the Left: Children's Literature, the Cold War, and Radical Politics in the United States (Oxford, 2006), and co-editor of Tales for Little Rebels, a Collection of Radical Children's Literature (NYU, 2008) and The Oxford Handbook of Children's Literature (forthcoming).
 
For the 2009-2010 year she is the Jay C. and Ruth Hall Visiting Scholar and an Honorary Fellow in the Institute for Research in the Humanities at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
