White Hall University of Wisconsin-Madison Julia Mickenberg is the author of Learning from the Left: Children's Literature, the Cold War, and Radical Politics in the United States (Oxford, 2006), and co-editor of Tales for Little Rebels, a Collection of Radical Children's Literature (NYU, 2008) and The Oxford Handbook of Children's Literature (forthcoming). For the 2009-2010 year she is the Jay C. and Ruth Hall Visiting Scholar and an Honorary Fellow in the Institute for Research in the Humanities at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Supported by the Center for the History of Print Culture, The School of Library and Information Studies, the Institute for Research in the Humanities, the Cooperative Children’s Book Center (CCBC), and the Wisconsin Print Culture Society.
