Spring 2010 Payment and Confirmation Deadline TODAY

The payment and confirmation of attendance due date for Spring Semester is TODAY Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at 4:30 PM. All students received their VolXpress E-statement outlining their charges and fees for the spring semester in their university email account on November 17, 2009.

All students are required to set their Confirmation of Attendance to "YES" and/or make a 50% payment by the due date or their schedule will be canceled.

Please remind your student of his or her responsibility to set their confirmation of attendance to "YES" by the payment due date. Even if the fees are discounted or fully paid by a fee waiver, students must set their Confirmation of Attendance to "YES"; otherwise their spring schedule will be canceled. Students can log on to Circle Park Online to set their Confirmation of Attendance and to view their VolXpress statement.

Gearing up for the Spring 2010 Semester

Residence Halls will open at 1:00 PM on Sunday, January 10 for the spring semester. Students living in on-campus housing may begin to return to their residence halls at that time.

The Campus Dining Spring Meal Plan begins on Monday, January 11 and spring semester classes begin on Wednesday, January 13.

Direct Deposit of Excess Financial Aid Funds

Direct deposit of any excess financial aid funds will be sent to your student's designated bank account on Wednesday, January 20, 2010. Students should contact the Bursar's Office or view the Bursar's website for Direct Deposit information and the Direct Deposit Authorization form.

Ambassadorial Lecture Series: Victor Ashe

On Thursday, January 14 from 11:30 AM-1:00 PM the Howard H. Baker, Jr. Center for Public Policy will present former Knoxville Mayor and Ambassador to Poland, Victor Ashe as part of its Ambassadorial Lecture Series. Ashe and his wife, Joan, will speak on "Five Years Later...Back From Poland" at a luncheon from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at The Foundry at World's Fair Park in Knoxville. Parents Association Scholarships

The Parents Association takes pride in providing numerous benefits to the students of our loyal members, including an exclusive scholarship program designed to provide the financial resources for your student's successful academic and professional career. These scholarships provide financial assistance specifically to students of UT Parents Association members in the areas of Academic, Leadership, Service, and International Study/Intern Abroad. The application period for the International Study/Intern Abroad scholarships will be during the month of February 2010. The application period for the Academic, Leadership, and Service scholarships will be later during spring semester 2010. Click here for more information.

Spring Family Weekend Registration Information

Spring Family Weekend 2010 is scheduled for February 27-28, 2010 and registration begins on Wednesday, January 20, 2010.

Family Weekend programming will include a Brunch with the Provost, SEC showdowns with the UT vs. Kentucky men's basketball game on Saturday and the UT Lady Vols vs. Ole Miss basketball game on Sunday, a catered Family Weekend dinner at Knoxville's legendary Calhoun's on the River, and a Knoxville Ice Bears hockey game. Packages will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis, so be sure to log on and register beginning January 20 so you and your family don't miss out on this fun-filled weekend!
