Troops: 2/3rds of the class have been successful in setting up their public_html site and those of you mounting your Lab 1 report have been individually informed of the score.  I was generally well impressed with the quality of the problem statements.  A wide diversity of interests exists, and I believe you will find ME 452 course content technically pertinent across the board.  Note that it is no longer necessary to send me an email announcing your lab report being mounted.

Those not mounting a Lab 1 report have also been personally contacted about earning the score for Lab 1 of 0/2.   Note the course schedule is adhered to strictly, but for Lab 1 ONLY these individuals can receive partial credit provided the report is mounted by Sunday midnight.  Send me an email if this occurs.

I have been contacted by the UT Bookstore to the effect that the supply of course textbooks is exhausted.  It is estimated that additional copies will be available by Tuesday morning next week.

Note that PE 1 is due next Tuesday, which is a firm deadline, and its completion rests substantially on the pertinent lecture.  This lecture courseware set contains practically all the pertinent text material needed to complete PE 1, should you not be able to secure a text by the submittal due date.  PE assignments are best submitted by scanning your work, converting to a pdf file and attaching as an email to [log in to unmask].  A separate email giving detailed guidelines on this process will be sent shortly.

This broadcast email is sent from the website "Communications" page to all registered students.  I use this Bellsouth.net email portal exclusively for this purpose.  DO NOT reply to this address - use ONLY [log in to unmask] for all course communications.   AJB
