IU-SLIS offers graduate education, research, and service opportunities in areas related to school, public, academic, and special librarianship. The EAD serves as chief administrative officer for the Indianapolis. Core responsibilities of this position include programmatic and faculty leadership, fiscal management, representation of SLIS to the IUPUI administration, oversight of daily operations, class scheduling and teaching assignments, external and alumni relations, and fundraising for the Indianapolis campus. The successful candidate for this position will have a compelling vision, strong leadership skills, and significant administrative experience. Candidates must have qualifications and achievements in library and information science consistent with a tenured appointment at the professor or associate professor level in SLIS.
