The iSchool is an interdisciplinary college within Drexel University that focuses on the connections between people, information, and technology. Research areas of interest include children and youth information behaviors, digital libraries, knowledge management, human-computer interaction, computer supported collaborative learning, social informatics, information visualization, and data mining. Empirical studies both qualitative and quantitative are widely used. Students and faculty come from a wide variety of backgrounds, such as computer science, anthropology, psychology, information science, library science, and communication. The broad scope of the Ph.D. in Information Studies prepares students for employment in academia and industry.
