Message : OIT is in the process of replacing the Proofpoint spam and virus filtering devices with new Microsoft Edge servers.   The transition will be made in several phases over the next couple of weeks.    

Starting tomorrow, May 27th, at 7:00 AM, all outgoing email sent from the Tmail/Exchange 2003 servers will be scanned by the new Microsoft Edge servers which means email will be processed using different spam and virus criteria.   

While we do not expect a significant reduction or increase in spam flow, you may notice changes in filtering behavior.  Please let us know if you experience messages being improperly classified as spam.  

At this time, incoming emails to @utk.edu and @tennessee.edu addresses will not be affected.
