Description: Northeastern State University invites
applications for the full time non-tenure track 12-month position of Instructor
of Library Services. The Reference Librarian/Education Subject Librarian
position will primarily work on the main campus in Tahlequah.
Degree Requirements: An earned Master's degree in Library
Science from an American Library Association accredited school is required.
Preference will be given to candidates with teaching experience, or
baccalaureate or advanced degrees earned in Education or Psychology.
Experience: Familiarity with Education/Psychology
databases is required. A minimum of one year of experience in library
instruction and academic reference service is preferred. Some HTML and Web page
design experience is a plus.
Responsibilities: The successful applicant will perform
general reference duties; serve as liaison with the faculty and students in the
College of Education; evaluate and develop the library's print, non-print, and
electronic resources in Education, Psychology and Physical Education; provide
library instruction; consult with faculty and students; design and maintain Web
pages; serve on university and library committees; and provide additional
services as needed.
Salary: Salary is commensurate with qualifications
and experience.
