The Watkins College of Art, Design & Film Library has an
opening for a part-time library assistant.The library is undergoing an overhaul
of its physical space as well as its operating procedures, and we are interested
in hiring an MLIS graduate student for this position that may prove to be a
valuable learning opportunity. The duties include but are not limited to
general circulation, customer service, assistance in the development of
policies, production of library literature, technical services support as
needed, and assistance with library events or promotions. Other duties may be
included and the opportunity to create jobs of interest to the student abound.
Other requirements are knowledge of Microsoft Office
software; Photoshop is a plus but not required. We are a MAC and PC
library. A friendly and helpful demeanor is a must as well as self-motivation,
and creativity.
The hours are up to 15 per week at a rate of $12 dollars an
hour. A candidate interested in morning hours would be ideal. The library is
open at 8:30 a.m.
